RUN FOR HUTTON

As many of you are aware, Hutton (daughter of our brother-in-arms Jeremy) was diagnosed over a year ago with cancer, marking the beginning of a challenging journey involving rounds of chemo, bloodwork, hospital stays and stays away from home. Towards the end of her initial treatment phase there was a setback, meaning Hutton has to continue with her various treatments until her results improve. Those who know Hutton recognize her for her infectious smile, vibrant spirit, her passion for gymnastics and her unconditional love for her family & friends. She has begun her treatment and has proved to be a true fighter, and the funds raised will assist with medical expenses and daily living costs.

To help raise awareness and much-needed funds, we will be running a 24-hour marathon at Prado Olympic Shooting Park on March 13-14. We will start at 8 am on Friday 13th and run 1.1 miles every hour on the hour all the way through to 8 a.m. on Saturday 14th, completing 26.2 miles. All are welcome at any stage to run/walk with us, and of course we’ll be doing a little shooting throughout the day all the way up to 8 pm. From 8 pm it’ll be beer and BBQ to help with the calories and morale.

You can help of course by making a donation, and we’ve set out some options below (GoFundMe, Venmo, Zelle). Beyond this, we’d love to see you come out and join us for some of the run, whether it’s to join in for a lap (run or walk, your choice!) or to join one of the fun-shoot sessions. We’ll send more details closer to the date, but for now please consider making a donation. GoFundMe does charge a processing fee, but it is the “official” site for Hutton. If you want every dollar of your donation to go to Hutton then using the Venmo or Zelle option is your best bet and Ben (CEO, Artifex) will provide full transparency of 100% of donations collected for and passed to the family. Be sure to reference “Run For Hutton” when making your donation so we can track it.
