Step 1
You must go to Orange County Sherrif’s website and review and collect the required documentation for applying for your permit. Applications are made through the CCW Pro portal so you’ll need to set up an account and get to work uploading the required documents. You must be a resident of Orange County to apply, and currently own a handgun registered in your name. You can now make out-of-state application which involves taking an approved class (such as ours) but with the option of completing your live fire qualification with a local training provider.

Print out this Livescan form here & take it to your local live scan location to be completed. Upload all of your collected documentation to the OCSD CCW Pro Portal here once you upload they may require further proof of residence or other supporting documentation. You’ll receive an interview date and upon completion you’ll get a deadline by which to complete your training class.

Pass an OSCD approved training class and submit your certificate to the online portal above. Don’t forget you can always complete your Artifex training class before your interview. Once all steps are completed you should receive your CCW within 90 days if everything is accepted by the department.
